The Ground War Begins, the Kornet Game Changer, and World Reactions
Based on what information has been leaking out of Israel, it appears Israel has begun the ground phase of their war with Gaza. Last night, Israeli forces launched a three-prong attack to split the northern half of Gaza and establish footholds for follow on operations. As is always the case, there is a lot of conflicting information and propaganda to sift through. Israel unquestionably unleashed hell and dropped a massive amount of ordnance on the areas in question, but it was equally clear they ran into opposition and engaged in smalls arms battles. As such, both Israel will now be in range of Hamas fighters and begin to incur casualties as they attempt to develop their foothold and press deeper into Gaza. Amongst the most potent weapons Israel will be facing is the Russian produced Kornet anti-tank guided missile system. This weapon is particularly worrisome for Israel, so I want to give you a bit of perspective on the weapon with out boring you with tech gibberish.
